This annual charity event brought together friends and families from across South East Queensland, for a 12km return walk from Cotton Tree to the lighthouse at Mooloolaba Spit, on the Sunshine Coast. We set off at 8am in the beautiful sunshine to walk or ride the coastal path and boardwalk, finishing off with a BBQ and light refreshments. This special event brought together families of 5 children with STXBP1 mutations from across Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast meeting for the very first time.
This event would not be possible without the charitable donations and loving support towards these beautiful children. We raised an amazing $8,000 bringing us one step closer to understanding this disease and finding a cure that we all dream of. 100% of these proceeds went directly to the STXBP1 Foundation to fund research to better understand this condition.
